Jaane unhon ne mujh mein kya dekha,
jaane humne unhon mein kya dekha,
us dil ki kashish mein yaaro,
humne to bas khwabon ka jahan dekha.
Har din, har pal tha mukammal,
khushion mein tar-bdar is dil ne poocha,
kya isi ko jannat kehte hain,
jab humne unhon mein khuda dekha.
Phir ik roz na jaane woh kya tha,
koi bhanwar tha, sailab tha ya tufaa(n) tha,
khauff se aankhe moond lli humne,
jab khuli to ujra apna wohi jahan dekha.
Aaj phir dil ne poocha hai mujhse,
kya isi ko qyamat kehte hain...?
